Last Tuesday was the windiest day of the year! Literally, I think the Ramoino Clan was blown away. Not by photography skills, but by the wind. It was so windy, the area kite boarding group was out enjoying the breeze. It was quite an adventure trying to find an area that was relatively free from the breeze. We didn't really accomplish that...but I still love their photos...

I had the most wonderful compliment about a month ago. I received a phone call from Nikeshia saying she was moving to Germany she wanted to schedule a session, but Labor Day was the best time. I was out of town with my family and she called me back and said any other day...you have to photograph my family before we go to Germany! Well, all righty then! What a wonderful feeling ;)
So here they are...five days from their big flight over seas! They will be living out in town and soaking up the German culture. Maybe learning a new language, traveling the rail lines, visiting new cities, who knows? What a wonderful way to introduce your children to the rest of the world.
I am actually very jealous...I love to travel. Have camera will travel!

The blue eyes award goes to Taylor! Check out these gorgeous blue eyes...they are are natural! I did a wee bit of enhancement to the overall photo, the same as I have done to all the other photos here. They are just that awesome. Someone is going to make the girls go gaga when he grows up!
Isabella, his little sister, has her own set of gorgeous eyes as well. Deep, dark muddy pools! A beautiful family all the way around, don't you say? And, they are welcoming another sister here in a few weeks! She's got to live up to her siblings, which is going to be a hard task!

...Now meet the rest of the Davis Family! This post is a little late...it's not a preview because they have already seen their photos. It's been a busy few weeks! I still wanted to share ;).
We had a great couple of hours together down in Kitty Hawk, NC trying to avoid the impending thunderstorm. I've been plagued by large imposing gray clouds lately. What's the deal? We had a lot of fun trying different things and they just enjoyed the time together. They had some great ideas about what kinds of shots they wanted to try and I think they turned out wonderfully.
My favorite moment of the session was when Grandpa Davis turned to Grandma Davis and said "What do you say...you want to grow old together?" They just started laughing and kissing! Just melt my heart, why don't ya? You are the ones who are supposed to feel all gushy and teary-eyed when you look at your photos. I need chocolate and tissues...someone, please!!!

Meet the Bowers family! The only family that has had me chuckling all the way through the photo editing process. You just can't look at their photos and not smile. They were so much fun and we were under the constant threat of ominous skies the entire shoot. Remember that thunderstorm almost two Saturday's ago? Well, we were there. The beach was closed and I thought I should have brought my underwater gear. But, as luck would have it, the weather held off just for us and we were able to get back on the beach.
I think every photo I have of this family someone is laughing or goofing off! They were also excited about doing a few different backgrounds for their shoot. I love it!
If you'll notice below...they can all do that crazy eye brow lifting trick. Well, except for Cathy...she's got some practice to do! Ricky is off for his first year of college and Jessica is going back to college. Best of luck to both of you!

I was so excited to photograph the newest member of my family...Sadie Louise. Sadie was born in January to my dear cousin, Varna and her husband Jared. Even though we only live 5 hours apart, we still find it difficult to see each other as often as we should!
Sadie is a wonderfully mellow child, she's just happy. And chubby! Oh, she's got the cutest little baby legs. You could just eat 'em up. And those eyes! Beautiful! I photographed her with her big sister, Lulu (that's her nickname - isn't it great!). Lulu is a precocious 2.5 year old who definitely keeps me on my toes! I photographed Lulu back in December when I went for a short visit. She wasn't too happy to see me because she thought I was replacing her Dad, since he was away on business!
Sadie's middle name is Louise and she's named after our grandmother, Louise, who you can read about on my other blog called Discovering Meme. Lulu is named after Varna's mother and grandmother, Lucy, and Jared's grandmother, Marietta.
I hope that I get to see them again soon!
