Well, after an absolutely wonderful visit with our family I am back in the office for a few days! We had a wonderful trip to the west coast. We started in Oroville, CA where Jim's mom lives, then headed to Trinidad, CA for some us time and then to Portland, OR to see my family. I don't even know how many miles we drove.
We didn't do much except hang out with our family for some much needed bonding time and laughing over amazing home cooked meals. I just love our family for sure! I wish we lived closer so that we could see them more often.
To sum our trip up here are some photos...I may find more to share with you as I start going through my photos.
If you've sent me an email, I am wading through my inbox right now and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Jessica
My brother...I love him because he totally indulges me in my desire "to get up in his face" to capture those beautiful blue eyes.
Heceta Head, Oregon Coast. The fog was amazing...I wish we could have stayed a while. Sometimes I hate being a passerby. If you are on the west coast, Heceta Head Lighthouse is actually a B & B...wish we had figured that out before we stopped there.
Agate Beach in Trinidad, CA. We have some beautiful rocks...we collected so many we had to send them home in the mail so we didn't overload our bags. Thank goodness for flat rate priority mail shipping.
My first explorations with slowing down the ocean...I am so hooked! These photos are from Trinidad, CA.
The Chico Farmer's Market: this is enough to make any East Coaster dream of moving out west. The veggies and fruits were unbelievable...fresh, organic and oh, so tasty.
Bonita (my mother in law), her view, and the flowers she grows:
RIP: Dearest Thelma, my dad's beloved kitty, was killed on Sunday night. Words to describe this barely two year old family pet: intrepid, fearless, inquisitive, opinionated, loyal and infinitely lovable. Our favorite story: she brought in a mouse and placed it in my mother's shoe for her to find. My mom was quite surprised when she tried to put on the shoe. This photo is of Thelma in her absolute favorite place; Dad's shop chair. Thelma...we will miss you.
